New Year’s resolutions are the perfect opportunity for all those who have failed to start making the changes they said they would make next week, next month, etcetera (you know what I mean). Every year I make a few New Year’s resolution to make positive changes in my life. So here are mine:
This topic is on my list every year. I always forget to drink but it is so important for my health. I downloaded the ‘daily water’ app on my iPhone. The app is designed to help individuals set drinking water goals and track the volume of water they are drinking on a daily basis. The app allows for schedule reminders and offers a basic statistical analysis of the amount of what you have consumed over the course of a day, week or month. I hope it works.
Cut back on social media
In 2018 I want to spend my leisure time on more productive pursuits. I haven’t deleted any social media apps. I still use them every day and rely on them for news and to keep up with my friends. But I want to use them less. I do not want that urge to check my phone every time.
It’s a diet based on fruits, vegetables, tubers, whole grains, and legumes; and it excludes meat, dairy products, and eggs, as well as highly refined foods like bleached flour, refined sugar, and oil. I have several reasons why I want to eat plant-based. The main reason is that I love animals very much. I
feel ethically unable to eat animals slaughtered for meat. It is also better for your health and the environment to eat plant-based.
